CROSSPLOT - "Dirty Double Dealer" (1969)

"Crossplot" didn't quite knock me out like I thought it would, but then, what does! New Zealander John Rowles sings the title song written by Les Reed and Barry Mason! John is most popular in his home country for a song he wrote about his sister entitled "Cheryl Moana Marie!" The main soundtrack was written by Stanley Black!

It was fun to see what Roger Moore was doing in between Simon Templar and James Bond anyway!

Roger Moore is Gary Fenn, a London ad executive and his idea of what's going to be the next big thing!

There seems to only be one little problem! He shows this picture to the investors without realizing somebody switched photos for some reason! Now, he's forced to track down this girl, and he's only got 48 hours!

 Nope! Not here!!

His search leads him to this psychedelic hippie club!

Roger Moore gets a chance to show off his comedic side!

Claudie Lange shows off her two best sides too as the gal in the photo, the mysterious Marla Kugash!

When Gary Fenn comes to, he has no idea where he is, how he got there, and why there's what's left of a joint of marijuana in his ashtray! What he does know is that he's in trouble!

Marla Kugash finally gets a chance to show that she's got what it takes!!

For some reason (They thought she overheard something important), Marla is being pursued by some very unsavory characters!

Nice setup! Just to keep the viewer in suspense, we get this shot of Gary Fenn on a train, but it turns out only to be a stupid kid with a squirt gun!

From this point on, it's pretty ridiculous! I thought I nodded off for a second and somebody changed the channel! What's this, an outtake from "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?"

One of the most absurd chase scenes of all time!

Equally absurd is the fact that Martha Hyer gets co-star billing, and her character is basically unneeded, and her on screen time amounts to what I'm going to guess is about 10 minutes!

My favourite part about "Crossplot" is that from this point on, Marla Kugash pretty much grazes herself to the finish!

All that running around, and Marla didn't get a chance to eat anything for about 20 hours! A girl gets hungry, and she is Hungarian!

After all of that, Gary Fenn finds something to gnaw on himself!!
