THIS IS NOT A TEST - Greig McRitchie - "Theme & Credits" (1962)

You know, a lot of this really is an unsung song about musical genius. Here's a small tale of Mr. Greig McRitchie, born on September 28, 1914. His first major work as composer and conductor was on this 1962 film, "This Is Not A Test," then it seems the man needed to take some time off, maybe doing that first movie was a real son of a gun, but he doesn't have any more credits until 1974. From then on he worked on an amazing array of films that is way beyond imagination as orchestrator & composer. "Conan", "Krull", "Off Beat", "Aliens", "Project X" and the list goes on and on til it ends with "Starship Troopers" in 1997. I'd say Mr. McRitchie passed this test just fine!
Seamon Glass went on to be the first grinner hillbilly in "Deliverance!"
Ron Starr played Heck Longtree in "Ride The High Country."

The lovely Mary Morlas never acted again!
Mike Greene continued acting til 2001!

Norman Winston never acted in TV or films again!

For reasons unknown, the ravishing Aubrey Martin only acted in a couple of TV shows after this film!
Alan Austin's career started in 1931 & ended with this movie!

Carol Kent's acting career ended in 1962, the same year this film was made!

Don Spruance ended his career in "The Streets of San Francisco", the 1977 TV series entitled "Monkey Is Back!"

The Looters are still active today & coming to your town soon, this is not a test!!!!!!

THE TERRORNAUTS - Elisabeth Lutyens - "Main Theme" (1967)

Elisabeth Lutyens, the first woman to compose music for a British feature film back in good old 1948, actually composed music for a number of cool flicks besides the Amicus production "The Terrornauts." Nifty titles like "The Skull," "The Earth Dies Screaming" & "Dr. Terror's House Of Horrors" all came from 1965. Busy lady! This is one crazy nut job of a movie, & the opening credits get it off to a good start!

THE SADIST - Paul Sawtell/Bert Shefter - "SOUNDCLIP NO LONGER AVAILABLE" (1963)

Charlie is one of the most sadistic goobers on earth!

Better watch out, Crazy Silent Judy is conjuring up something!

Pretty frisky for cousins! The only real outsider music in "The Sadist" happens when they're working on the car & listening to the radio, when a country stomper comes on the radio & gets crazy Judy all excited as Charlie leers on. From our understanding, in real life, Arch & Marilyn were cousins, which makes their relationship in this movie even weirder! Here's where the car-fixin' radio hoedown was!
And they just wanted to go to a Dodgers' game, now they can't even believe they're in this movie with these bumpkin freaks!

THE NASTY RABBIT - Arch Hall & The Archers - "Mood Music" (1964)

There's not really much to say about this movie since we respect Arch so much & this film sucks so bad, but we'll always defend the music, because Arch rocks, period! So here you have some pretty swell background music from a couple of the scenes in this stinker, one a jazzier rock piece & one basic country fling! Buy one of Arch's Cd's for yourself for X-Mas & forget the rest! Arch Country Archers

THE WILD WOMEN OF WONGO - "WWOW Theme & Dance" (1958)

WWOW Theme WOW!! Well What's Over Where? "Wild Women Of Wongo?" How did this movie ever get made, even in 1958? It's one of those things that defies logic and just makes you shake your head in wonder, wondering that is, how it could even be possible that such a thing exists! Actually unreal!! Big cast, seems like it would be very difficult to get that many people to take the whole thing seriously enough to show up on time for a shoot, but still, nobody seems to want to take credit for the music. Maybe it was somebody's idea of a party because 97 1/2% of the people who had anything to do with this movie never worked on any other film projects ever. This film also preceded later Florida classic "The Sting Of Death," the immortal 1980's Saturday morning show G.L.O.W. aka, the "Glamorous Ladies Of Wrestling, and Wendy O. Williams. Go figure!!

Cool enough that Paris Hilton had to get involved!

THE SCREAMING SKULL - Ernest Gold - "Main Title" (1958)

Beside "Screaming Skull," Austrian composer Ernest Gold also did an enormous array of music including the music for the 1956 TV series cartoon "The Gerald McBoing-Boing Show." Besides cartoons he composed music for a number of crime drama, war, and western TV and movie titles. Very prolific & a master of creating a mood for any occasion, did I forget to mention he also composed the music for "Exodus," "Inherit The Wind," & "On The Beach." Pretty heavy credentials for the late 50's & early 60's without a doubt! The beautiful and voluptuous Peggy Webber plays Jenni Whitlock magnificently & really makes this film! Here's"Screamin' Skull."

Oh, Yeah, nice car, cool grill, headlights & gull wing styling!!!

CRIMINALI DELLA GALASSIA ( The Wild Wild Planet) - Angelo Francesco Lavagnino - "Main Theme" (1965)

Funny, this actually is a wild movie, in more than one sense. One of those movies that is stupid & brilliant all at the same time. Composer Angelo Francesco Lavagnino and star Tony Russel both had prior experience on "Zorro" movies, and Angelo's resume is almost never ending, having worked on Numerous "Hercules" movies, and a host of spy, war and space films. If you like bizarre & kitsch in perfect harmony, you are in for a treat, and you're going to like "The Galaxy Criminals," which is yet another great name for this very interesting flick from 1965.
